Then make a bird-base so that the orange lines are changed to wings.

The bird-base is finished.

Fold each of the head/tail to the center.

Raise them like this picture.
The first small crane is finished.

A wing-root is connected to a big square.

Then fold the other small squares so that the orange lines are changed to wings.

After making all the small cranes, it looks like this picture.

Make a crane so that the orange lines are changed to wings.

Before that, move small cranes a little in order to get easier to fold the head/tail.

By moving small cranes inwards like this picture, it will get easier to fold the head/tail.
