How to fold Yumeno-kayoizi

Make Yumeno-kayoizi

(1)
Start with folding the bottom square.

(2)
Fold four corners to the center point like this picture.

Then turn the paper over as it is.

(3)
Turn the paper over like this picture.

(4)
Make a star-shape like this picture.
Then make a bird-base so that the yellow lines are changed to wings.

(5)
This picture is halfway through.

(6)
Make a bird-base in the state of that connecting parts are put to the inner part of the bird-base because you will move the connecting parts in latter steps.
(in the state of that four corners are folded to the center point.)

(7)
After making shape like this picture, make creases neatly.
Since connecting parts are put to the inner part of a bird-base, the bird-base would be swollen.
Therefore, make creases like you crush the bird-base.

(8)
After making creases, it looks like this picture.

You will not be able to make a crane as it is.
Therefore, move the other square a little.

(9)
This picture is taken after moving the other square.

The next steps are moving the other square like this picture.

(10)
Move the other square a little in the direction of the arrow (move it downwards) while holding the bird-base.

Connecting parts tear easily in this step.
Therefore, move it carefully.

(11)
Move the other square so that connecting parts are at the point which is shown by the arrow.

(12)
After moving the other square, pinch the parts which have been circled to make creases.

The bird-base would be swollen.
Therefore, make creases like you crush the bird-base.

(13)
After moving the other square and making creases, it looks like this picture.

(14)
Then fold the head/tail to the center.

(15)
After folding the head/tail, raise it.

(16)
If connecting parts get caught on a head/tail like this picture, revert the paper back to a bird-base and move connecting parts one more time.

(17)
Then fold the other head/tail to the center and raise it.

(18)
Raise it like this picture.
The first crane is finished.

(19)
If you raise two head/tail without their getting caught on connecting parts, connecting parts will be under a belly of a completed crane like this picture.
