Make Haruno-akebono
(1)
Start with folding a small square.
Make a star-shape like this picture.
Then make a bird-base so that the orange lines are changed to wings.
(2)
This picture is halfway through.
(3)
The bird-base is finished.
(4)
Fold each of the head/tail to the center.
(5)
Raise them like this picture.
The first small crane is finished.
(6)
This is an enlarged picture of the connecting part.
(7)
Fold the other small square in the same way so that the orange lines are changed to wings.
(8)
The second small crane is finished.
(9)
Then fold the big square.
(10)
Fold the four corners to the center point like this picture.
(11)
Fold the paper on the eight creases around in order to make a star-shape. (Make valley-folds on the eight creases around.)
(12)
Before making a bird-base, make creases again near connecting parts.
Fold and put the left edge under the small crane.
(Fold the left edge on the dotted line.)
(13)
Fold the edge like this picture.
Then fold and put the right edge under the small crane as well.
(14)
Fold the right edge like this picture.
(15)
This picture is taken from above.
(16)
By making creases again, the left edge would get caught on the small crane and it will get easier to make a bird-base.
On the opposite side, make creases again as well.
(17)
After making creases again on the opposite side, it looks like this picture.
(18)
Turn the paper over as it is.
Then make a bird-base so that wings are connected to small cranes.
(19)
This picture is halfway through.
(20)
The bird-base is finished.
(21)
Fold each of the head/tail to the center.
(22)
Raise them like this picture.
All the cranes are finished.
(23)
Make each beak so that all cranes face in the same direction.
Finally, spread wings.
(24)
There is a connecting part at the part which is shown with the arrow.
