Then complete two bird-base at the same time.

Fold the two head/tail, which are shown by the arrows, to the center.

Then fold the two head/tail in the backside to the center.

After folding the two head/tail in the backside, raise them while referencing the next step.

When raising a head/tail of a small crane, raise it along tips of connecting parts so that connecting parts don’t tear.
(don’t raise it all the way as usual)
The part which is shown by the yellow arrow get longer than usual because you raise a head/tail along tips of connecting parts.

Raise the two head/tail in the backside like this picture.

Then raise the two head/tail in the front side.

Raise the head/tail along tips of connecting parts as well.

Then fold the big square.
Fold the two flaps in the direction of the arrows.

Then rotate the paper 90 degrees to the right.

After rotating the paper, make a star-shape.
First, make creases at the dotted lines.

Then move both sides in the direction of the arrows while making mountain-folds on the yellow lines.

If you try to make creases neatly at the circled part (near small cranes), connecting parts will tear.
Therefore, try not to make creases near small cranes.

Then make creases at the dotted lines in the state of that you fold the bottom flaps.
