Preparation of an origami paper
【Size】
a 26x26cm paper or it is bigger than 26cm.
【Kinds】
・Basic origami paper
・Double sided origami paper
・Washi paper
I made this model with a 26x26cm basic origami paper.
A length of a small square will be three sixteenth of a length of your paper.
If you use a 26x26cm paper,
a length of a small square will be 26×3/16≒4.88cm.
If you use a 17.5×17.5cm paper,
a length of a small square will be 17.5×3/16≒3.28cm.
If you choose a paper so that a length of a small square is 4cm or more,
it will get easier to make this model.
(1)
Fold the paper in half.
(Make only about 1cm-long creases on the top and bottom.)
(2)
Make creases like this picture.
Then fold the right to the creases to make creases only at the dotted lines.
(3)
Make creases like this picture.
(In this picture, I made creases long to get easier to see and explain simply.)
(4)
Then fold the left to the creases which you have made in the previous step.
(5)
Fold the paper like this picture.
(6)
Then fold the paper in half in the other direction.
(Make only about 1cm-long creases on the left and right.)
(7)
Make creases like this picture.
(8)
Then fold the bottom to the creases which you have made in the previous step.
(9)
Fold the paper like this picture.
(10)
Then rotate the paper 90 degrees to the right.
(11)
After rotating the paper, fold the bottom to the first creases from the bottom.
(12)
Fold the paper like this picture.
(13)
Then fold the bottom to the crease which you have made in the previous step.
(14)
Fold the paper like this picture.
(15)
Then fold the bottom to the first crease from the top.
(16)
Fold the paper like this picture.
(17)
After making a crease, turn the paper over.
